Standard Job Description

 

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors degree required to apply
- Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.

-Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment in process improvment 
-Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance prior to start per business requirments AND to obtain special program access within 3 months of start date with LM.

Desired Skills

- STEM degree preferred.

-Previous team lead experience.
-Experience in liaison role supporting production activities and rapidly resolving constraints to minimize production impact.
-Experience supporting final assembly including collaborating with various disciplines to coordinate closeouts and system checkouts.

-Experience supporting vehicle systems installations & integration into a final product. Experience should include some combination of the following systems: electrical harness installation, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, propulsion systems, avionics, and related systems.


-Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery.
-Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
-Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.
-Self-starter with ability to operate with limited direction.
-Previous experience with engineering releases and configuration change control.
-Proficient working in 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, Nx), product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) programs (e.g. 3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.), and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) programs (iBASEt, SAP, etc.).

-Active Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
