You will be the Hardware Development Engineer for the Hardware Development team which is responsible for delivering advanced hardware and embedded solutions for cutting edge aerospace programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Hardware Development Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating hardware and software components that power next generation aircraft and mission systems. Your work will directly support the F 35, F 16, and Skunk Works initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL to create robust FPGA IP cores.
• Participating in all phases of hardware and software development, from concept through verification.
• Driving Skunk Works research and development efforts on emerging technologies.
• Creating architecture, logic designs, and system simulations for complex embedded systems.
• Performing simulation and analysis of FPGA and embedded system designs to ensure performance and reliability.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

#MeAero

Develops, designs, verifies, and documents Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Assignments include the analysis of all aspects from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization. Typically uses specialized equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.

Basic Qualifications

·    Experience in the verification of Field-Programmable Gate Array devices.
·    HDL development experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
·    Bachelor's from an accredited college in Electrical or Computer Engineering or bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
·    Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required for this position.

Desired Skills

·    Experience with modern verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM or VMM.
·    Demonstrated experience in Field-Programmable Gate Array life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test).
·    Experience preparing system architectures and appropriate UML related diagrams.
·    Knowledgeable in automated test pattern generation, logic equivalency checking, linting and/or other formal design checks.
·    Experience with agile development, configuration management and continuous integration processes and methodologies including regression tesing techniques.
·    Knowledge of digital design, development, and simulation.
·    Metrics collection, analysis, and reporting.
