The Propulsion Design Engineering organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Propulsion Design Engineer in the areas of engine installation and interface, inlets/exhausts, fuel systems, fire protection, and ECS systems. The selected candidate will be involved in developing basic data, preliminary design layouts and detail design for new and revised parts, assemblies and systems that make up helicopter propulsion systems. This involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Selected candidate will participate in development and presentation of design proposals, detail design and support through the product lifecycle. Layouts and drawings will be prepared using CATIA V5 and/or 3Dx/V6. Occasional travel may be required to support suppliers, customer meetings and reviews, as well as aircraft build support and test.

 

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

More than 5 years of technical background in aircraft design.

Experience in 3D CAD modelling

Desired Skills

Knowledge of Sikorsky helicopters

Knowledge of helicopter propulsion systems

CATIA V5 / 3DX experience

Proficient in Model Based Definition
Knowledge of Sikorsky design and drawing release system
Experienced in Drawing/Drafting skills
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
