Standard Job Description

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as an F-35 Aircraft Weapons Manager for our Edwards Air Force Base flight test site. This position will provide weapons maintenance direction to the F-35 Integrated Test Force on first shift.

 

 Responsibilities include:

• Technical direction and oversight of daily flight line operations; interaction with Ops personnel, Ops schedulers, Flight Test Control and Material Review Board Engineers, Quality Engineering, Air Vehicle Managers, Muns and Air Force Production Superintendent(s) and organization leadership.

• Coordinates and integrates efforts of the "purple" (Air Force, Lockheed, Government Civilians and Government Contractors) team as well as admin tasks such as performance appraisals, timekeeping, staffing & disciplinary actions for both salaried and hourly personnel.

     Manages all facets of aircraft maintenance in support of Depot Field Team modifications.

• Scope of responsibilities includes detailed planning, requirements management, risk management, training scheduling and flight test maintenance operations management.

     Oversees and directs maintenance activities associated with the management of flight test operations.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college

• Candidate should possess a broad military aircraft support background, F-35 desired and advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo flight test environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, team partner companies, and local base authorities critical for success.

• Prior military or civilian equivalent operational maintenance & weapons loading management experience highly desirable; specifically, organizational, and intermediate maintenance

• Experience with Earned Value Management a plus.

• Experience creating and maintaining manpower, training and maintenance schedules.

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00
