We are experiencing growth and looking for an Engineering Aide Specialist to provide essential technical support to engineering teams, ensuring data integrity and delivering clear documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, maintain, format, and compile technical data, including laboratory results, material test outcomes, and engineering design changes.
  • Produce engineering documentation such as reports, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and conduct preliminary data analyses (e.g., trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency).
  • Apply quantitative judgment to evaluate technical data and support engineering decisions.
  • Utilize personal computers and specialized software to develop analyses, reports, and documentation.
  • Conduct tests, record results, and assist with engineering evaluations and analyses as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical coursework, vocational training, or practical engineering/manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, integration, test, laboratory, or production activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Experience using standard hand tools, measurement devices, laboratory equipment, or electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to assemble, configure, operate, and troubleshoot basic hardware, cables, test equipment, or mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to accurately collect, record, organize, and communicate test or production data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated mechanical or electrical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, configuration control, and procedural compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, manufacturing personnel, quality representatives, and other cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet quality and schedule requirements with limited supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearance or program access required for the position.

Desired Skills

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or vocational training in electronics, electrical technology, mechanical technology, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, integration, test, or production operations.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data-acquisition systems, and signal generators.
  • Experience assembling, inspecting, testing, or troubleshooting cables, harnesses, circuit card assemblies, or electromechanical hardware.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Experience with cable and harness fabrication, including crimping, soldering, continuity testing, and connector installation.
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment or software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar applications.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting test or production data.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, engineering change processes, nonconformance documentation, and revision-controlled work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of quality, safety, electrostatic-discharge, and foreign-object-debris prevention practices.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, accuracy, and on-time execution.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $52000.00 - $96600.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
