Standard Job Description
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
You will be the Industrial Engineer Sr. for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Archbald, PA. Our team is responsible for supporting operations across circuit‑card, cable & harness, electro‑mechanical, and fabrication manufacturing areas.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Industrial Engineering Sr. team member, you will be part of the Industrial Engineering team in Archbald. You may be supporting the Circuit Card, Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the project or assignment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Using lean six sigma methods, data analytics, and simulation tools to optimize production processes, improve productivity and present recommendations to project teams and leadership.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop excellence plans to improve the execution of production work including capacity planning, span time reduction, defect reduction, on-time starts/finishes, etc.
- Using 2D/3D modeling tools (i.e., CAD, CREO, etc.) to assist in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facility.
- Partnering with Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities to identify, procure, and implement capital equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systems.
- Assisting in the tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance to ensure project success.
- Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics.
Basic Qualifications
| • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment • Experience in leading projects to develop layouts for equipment and workspaces to enhance productivity and reduce waste • Demonstrated proficiency using lean/six-sigma methods & data analytics to identify root cause, and solve problems in a manufacturing environment • Proficiency with 2D/3D & process modeling programs such as CAD, CREO, SolidWorks, SIMIO, etc. • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen |

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
