The Engagement Center Ambassador serves as a strategic partner to Business Development and Program Leadership and is the principal representative of their designated Engagement Center, entrusted with advancing Lockheed Martin’s solutions to deliver immersive, mission focused engagements that bring the Lockheed Martin vision to life. This role integrates external representation, internal enablement, and strategic advocacy while ensuring the Center operates as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and mission readiness.

This role collaborates with Business Development leads, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs personnel and Business Area stakeholders to shape engagement strategies that are both user-centered and mission aligned. The successful candidate will work to ensure their center, as a trusted partner to the internal Lockheed Martin customer, delivers a cohesive, resonant experience that supports strategic business outcomes.

You will be overseeing the day to day management of the Lockheed Martin Engagement Center in Crystal City. The Center is a customer-focused mission demonstration environments that enables the telling of highly visual, captivating stories using interactive visual exploration technologies and provide customized experiences for our customers. Each location provides interconnected collaboration spaces and enable digital program reviews, war gaming, operational analysis and capability planning.

A background in the defense industry, military, or government is an advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the DEC across events, meetings, and outreach activities, strengthening relationships with stakeholders.
  • Communicate program objectives, benefits, and outcomes to diverse audiences, amplifying the DEC’s reach and reputation
  • Support recruitment and retention of participants through proactive engagement and outreach.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for current and prospective participants, offering guidance and support
  • Provide actionable feedback to leadership to continuously improve DEC quality and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, engagements, and participant interactions
  • Maintain a comprehensive customer portfolio capturing how the centers were strategically utilized to enhance future engagements and exemplify value for additional opportunities
  • Attend regular check ins with staff and fellow ambassadors to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Share innovative solutions that expand the DEC’s influence and enhance customer engagement

Basic Qualifications

  • Professional experience in customer-facing roles, business development, program management, or managing high-tech briefing/demonstration centers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building strategic partnerships across internal business units, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and executive-level presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling, visual narratives
  • Proven track record of overseeing day-to-day facility or program operations, prioritizing user experience, and aligning deliverables with strategic business goals
  • Must be a US Citizen

 

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Executive-level presentation skills and professional presence
  • Familiarity with cultural storytelling, enterprise campaign integration, and customer engagement strategy
  • Familiarity with interactive visualization technologies, digital program reviews, wargaming, or operational analysis environments 
  • Familiarity with Business Development lifecycle
  • Prior experience within the aerospace, defense, or government contracting sectors 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives and visual experiences

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
