The part-time position/internship is to learn and assist the Space, Strategic & Missile Defense & Technology Programs team in government affairs with interactions in the executive and legislative branches. The position is to learn policy and program issues related to the portfolio and attend discussions and assist the team in monitoring hearings, budget discussions, and policy initiatives. The intern will serve in this capacity for a year that mirrors the fiscal year and the congressional budget cycle.

Performs assignments in administrative organizations (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Contracts, Planning, Material) and has a completed Bachelors degree in an accredited degree program.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a masters or doctorate degree in defense and strategic studies.

• Excellent academic management,

communication and interpersonal (written,

verbal, and presentation) skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

• Ability to consolidate data from multiple

sources into a usable, concise format

Desired Skills

• Ability to interface with various levels of management across the organization

• Self-motivated; comfortable voicing opinions

and seeking out additional information and resources

Full-Time Salary Range: $25.90 - $43.77

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
