The Mission Capabilities Team within the Mission Development and Integration (MDI) Organization is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the Capability Integration (CI) team. This role reports into the Mission Capabilities Director.

 

 

What You Will Be Doing:

In this role, you will deliver quantifiable, mission‑driven analysis and recommendations that inform corporate strategic investment decisions and shape government customers’ visions and roadmaps for all‑domain warfighting. You will be responsible for multi‑domain mission engineering and architecture development / assessment, linking capabilities and technology solutions to identified mission gaps and needs.

 

Working closely with Mission Roadmaps, Operations Analysis, and Strategy teams, you will lead an enterprise‑wide focus on model‑based engineering to evaluate current and future architectures that enable the development and proliferation of new kill chains. Additionally, you will collaborate with communities across the enterprise to integrate and demonstrate technology solutions and mission architectures.

 

Finally, you will lead the adoption of the Mission Engineering & Integration Activities (MEIA) framework across the enterprise by implementing and advancing the state of the art practices and tools, and by growing its community of practice.

 

Who You Are:

Ideally, you bring deep experience in System-of-Systems thinking and mission engineering, are a strong team-builder and people-leader, and have excellent communication skills. 

 

Further Information About This Opportunity:

  • This position requires some onsite work.
  • Location preference for this role is Crystal City (Arlington, VA); alternative US-based locations must provide access to classified spaces and networks.
  • Somewhat regular travel is required for business need and customer support (up to 25%); additional travel will be required if located outside of the DC area (up to 40%)
  • US Citizenship with eligibility for TS/SCI is required to start

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with Mission Architecture, Mission Engineering, or Model-Based Systems Engineering within Aerospace and Defense
  • Experience in System-of-Systems thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of diverse teams
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to interface and communicate with impact with senior company executives and with leaders in customer and partner organizations
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple organizations and functions
  • Proven record of establishing and maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to develop plans, schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments for complex efforts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
  • US Citizenship with eligibility for TS/SCI

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with Multidomain Mission Engineering, or Model Based Systems Engineering in Aerospace and Defense
  • Familiarity with LM missions and customers
  • Demonstrated experience with complex systems integration programs
  • Demonstrated performance in development or management of discriminating technical capabilities
  • Experience with understanding USG mission engineering, budgeting, and acquisition frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience building and growing teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through change
  • Experience hosting large cross-functional events and technical engagements\
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; experience with Special Access Programs

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $228100.00 - $423700.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $205300.00 - $381300.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $182500.00 - $338900.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $164200.00 - $305000.00
