Standard Job Description

Leads those who manage the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support. Requires an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems and suppliers/subcontractors, and customers. Proficient in company policies. Partners with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution. Performs contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to quality team, including suppliers. Establishes quality budgets and cost commitments. Serves on the program area Risk and Opportunity Review Boards; nominates risks and opportunities. Ensures Quality Assurance Plans are documented and current and implemented. Schedules and ensures assessments of program (e.g. quality audits). Participates in independent program reviews to understand risks and drive Return to Green plans. Maintains a DCMA/Customer quality relationship. Establishes and maintains effective Quality Program Team business rhythm.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated technical ability to apply quality and process improvement principles in manufacturing, engineering, or related technical environments.
  • Proven leadership experience directing quality, manufacturing, or engineering initiatives, building high-performing teams, and delivering root cause analysis, corrective actions, and measurable results while meeting quality, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Successful experience establishing and maintaining positive interfaces with suppliers and customers, fostering collaborative working relationships.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently, assume accountability, and lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Holds an interim Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrates full‑spectrum leadership attributes and delivers high‑performance results.
  • Skilled in planning, leading, and supporting scheduled program reviews (e.g., First Article Inspection, Production Readiness Review, Product Line Validation, Program Management Review).
  • Extensive knowledge of MFC systems, product lines, manufacturing sites, and supplier operations.
  • Strong presence and communication skills; able to clearly articulate complex technical issues and solutions to senior leadership.
  • Hands‑on experience establishing or maturing a quality‑management system for a production‑line startup, from concept through execution.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and making sound decisions with incomplete data.
  • Capable of working autonomously and as an effective member of cross‑functional MFC teams, including leading projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP/APRISO.
  • Knowledge of the DD250 process.
  • Experience working with U.S. Government customers and the Defense Contract Management Agency.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
