You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product and process excellence across design, production, and supplier domains.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Staff you will be responsible for applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and more to drive reliability and performance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, and drawings.
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality issues.
- Lead product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, conduct statistical analysis.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
Basic Qualifications
- STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Strong understanding of engineering requirements and mechanical and electrical inspection methods - ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related Performance Metrics
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board)
- Experience performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools
Desired Skills
- STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above
- Experience as a team lead and/or facilitator
- High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues
- A basic understanding of MFC Apriso, SAP, and P2P business systems
- Experience with hardware inspections
- Experience with AS9100, AS9102, J-STD-001, and IPC-610 interpretation and application experience
- Experience effectively communicating and interacting with Quality Management, Program Management, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Government Representatives, and other stakeholders
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the capability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
