What You Will Be Doing:
In this junior cyber software developer role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and testing scalable software solutions and AI capabilities in support of enterprise cybersecurity operations. You will be collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including analysts, testers, architects, and other technical teams to identify requirements, prioritize development efforts, and deliver mission-focused capabilities.
Ideally, you'll have a strong background in software development, an understanding of software engineering principles, experience building AI agents or AI-powered workflows, and foundational knowledge of computer network defense or penetration testing operations.

This role is a hybrid role requiring onsite work in Rockville MD. US Citizenship is required to start, with eligibility for Secret clearance
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full spectrum cyber solutions. Develops and automates secure systems to support cyber offensive, defense and full spectrum cyber operations.Conducts vulnerability research, reverse engineering, penetration testing (red/blue teams), develops and integrates low-level firmware, and/or develops specialized cyber software solutions and tools based on mission requirements. Applies system knowledge of subject matter (hardware, software, networks, cloud, etc.) to conduct research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities and develop new capabilities to exploit and/or mitigate vulnerabilities.
Basic Qualifications

Proficiency in Python; additional experience with Rust, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Go, or other programming language is strongly desired.

Experience building AI Agents using agentic frameworks such as langchain/langgraph/deepagents, strands, crewai, or claude agent sdk

Familiarity with working in a Linux CLI environment (e.g. Bash, Grep, Sed, Awk, Jq)

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) / Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) procedures and methodology
- Knowledge of Red Team / Penetration Testing procedures and methodology
- Knowledge of basic offensive/malware development and best practices
- Experience with DevSecOps/MLOps practices, including Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions)
- Experience working with Machine Learning systems for classification, clustering, or predictions (e.g. sklearn, pytorch, tensorflow)
- Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms
- Experience designing and deploying applications for Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience working with container services (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes)
- Experience with Agile development practices
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75400.00 - $140000.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
