Position Overview
The NGG team is seeking a full‑time Project Engineer to coordinate the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the assigned domain. The incumbent will formulate engineering programs, ensure product designs meet engineering principles, corporate standards, and customer contract requirements, and manage design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. This role also supports technical development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Planning & Execution – Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and control mechanisms; monitor progress against milestones and technical baselines.
- Design Review & Compliance – Review product designs for adherence to engineering principles, LM standards, contract requirements, and specifications; evaluate and approve design changes, specification updates, and drawing releases.
- Technical Coordination – Interface with cross‑functional teams (systems, software, test, manufacturing) to resolve design and test problems; track technical issues to closure.
- Documentation & Reporting – Prepare status reports, risk assessments, and briefings for senior leadership; maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with security classification guidelines.
- Tool Utilization – Apply project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office suite to track tasks, deliverables, and earned‑value metrics.
- Process Improvement – Identify opportunities for process enhancements; support implementation of agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects; practical knowledge of project‑management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Effective written and oral communication; capable of briefing senior leaders.
Desired Skills
- Flexibility and determination to learn new skills quickly.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, or Confluence.
- Ability to work in a team‑focused, dynamic environment; accountable and responsible.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and its application to project tracking.
- Experience creating and maintaining cross‑functional schedules.

- Understanding of security classification guidelines and handling of classified work.
- Self‑driven; capable of working both independently and collaboratively
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
