Standard Job Description

Our workshop plays a key role in keeping the NZ Army moving. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles across the NZDF operational fleet
• Completing certification and compliance work to NZDF standards
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and mission-ready
• Working on a wide range of military vehicles and equipment, including MAN Medium and Heavy Operational Vehicles (MHOV), Mercedes, UNIMOG, and Pinzgauer vehicles within the NZ Army and Regional Equipment Pool (REP) fleet

Basic Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Class 1 & 2 driver licences
• A good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
