What We’re Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.

The Work
As member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools that enable mission critical software delivery. Performs analysis and technical support of Gitlab pipelines and related DevOps tooling, including troubleshooting complex pipeline and integration issues.

Maintains, debugs, and configures CI/CD workflows and associated systems across development, testing, and production environments. Works from defined requirements and specifications to develop or enhance automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Assists with pipeline design, scripting, testing, debugging, and documentation to ensure reliable and repeatable software releases. Collaborates with development, manual and automated testing, and operations teams to integrate code quality checks, metrics generation, automation, and deployment standards aligned with SDLC and DevOps best practices.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in related STEM discipline with 3+ years of experience or equivalent, or related experience is lieu of degree.

- Experience creating and troubleshooting dynamic, automated pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins to build, test, and deploy software.

- Experience with configuration management and automation tools, specifically Ansible.

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps best practices.

- Must have or be willing to attain Security+ certification within 60 days of starting.

- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Desired Skills

- Experience working Infrastructure as a service (IAAS) or Platforms as a Service (PAAS)

- Experience with containerization and orchestration

- Experience with monitoring/logging tools

- Java development experience

- Experience creating bash scripts and / or PowerShell scripts. 

- Strong communication and collaboration skills; particularly with software developers and testers.

- Domain management experience such as creating and maintaining user accounts, role based access control (RBAC), Security groups, group policy management, etc.

- DoD 8570 or 8140 Certification Compliance required.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
