Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams. Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

You will be the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer working second shift for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Camden, AR. Our team is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant operational environment across the site. What You Will Be Doing As the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for driving safety compliance across the site and supporting the customer’s needs. Basic Qualifications
Formal education in related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
Must be able to interpret federal regulations, standards and other associated compliance driven programs.
Ability to evaluate, apply, audit, and communicate regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, across levels of the organization.
Proficient with computer-based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Ability to work additional time outside of normal work schedule.
Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
Desired Skills
Background working knowledge of Explosive Safety and Engineering practices.
Fundamental understanding of occupational safety and health requirements in manufacturing and construction operations.
Competence in reading, interpreting, and developing written instructions based on technical drawings and documentation.
Experience with robotics and other automated production tooling.
Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.
Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
Proficient in reporting and accounting tools used at the site, such as Microsoft Office e.g., Excel, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus.
Pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health, or Environmental disciplines.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $53900.00 - $100100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
