Standard Job Description
Focused on the further development of the Canadian market space the Domestic Portfolio Capture Manager leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Has accountability to shape and win new business through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and the corporation's best interests. Develops capture strategy including business solutions for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Has responsibility to lead and integrate the assigned cross-functional team and authority to direct team activities for the duration of the pursuit. Maintains ongoing interaction with business development.
Basic Qualifications
Broad experience in supporting solution development on the technical, programmatic, industrial, and commercial perspectives
- Experience in project management, or cross functional technical team leadership
- Experience in working in a complex, fast-paced solution development organization
Focus on clarity of communication and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Presenting to senior leadership organizations (able to get a clear message across)
- Working with potential partners / sub-contractors
- Working with customer communities
Understanding of the defence industrial domain
- Experience with defence procurement process
- Experience with operational communities and an understanding of organizational structures
Experience in Capture domain
- Training in capture process
- Experience in proposal development
Desired Skills
Strong bilingual communicator (French/English)
Ability to travel when required
