Standard Job Description

You will be the Site Facilities Manager for Chelmsford operations and all MFC sites in Massachusetts. Based in Chelmsford, you will report directly to the Site Director with a dotted‑line reporting through the enterprise facilities organization. In this role, you will own facilities operations across multiple buildings for a mature‑but‑growing microelectronics manufacturing, advanced RF design, laboratories, and office space.

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

As the Site Facilities Manager you will be responsible for leading the facilities organization to sustain high‑performing manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead a multi‑shift team of maintenance, facilities, and custodial staff that maintain buildings and critical infrastructure seven days a week, ensuring production continuity.
  • Manage more than one functional area in Facilities, such as maintenance, groundskeeping, facilities expansions/relayouts, construction, property management, office planning and layout.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition or disciplinary actions.
  • Upkeep of closed and clean‑room manufacturing environments and the systems that support advanced manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Plan and execute facility preparedness and emergency response, oversee expansion and lease management, and serve as primary owner of community stewardship related to site upkeep.
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance, contractor performance, and day‑to‑day partnership with operations, ESH, and security to keep sites safe, compliant, and reliable in a defense manufacturing environment.
  • Work is executed within allocated overhead budgets, and all capital projects are delivered on cost and schedule. Scope covers Chelmsford, Westford, Andover, and any additional sites that may be added.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 + years of related experience in production facility/office maintenance and operations.
  • Direct experience in contractor management and work‑request software tools.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
