Standard Job Description

You will be the Production Control Assistant for the Production Control Team. As a hybrid position between Cycle Counter and Production Planning Control, this role is primarily responsible for maintaining Kanban integrity across all material flows. By performing high‑precision daily counts of assemblies, make‑parts, coating materials (epoxy, paint), consumables, and micro‑electronic/semiconductor components - using an optical microscope, precision tweezers, and calibrated balances - you will ensure inventory levels are accurately adjusted in SAP S/4 HANA and Apriso MES each shift. In addition to these core duties as hybrid Cycle Counter, you will support other Production Control tasks as needed, including stock‑purge activities and continuous‑improvement initiatives for counting and inventory‑management processes. This include performing systematic transaction to putting materials into stock, performing traceability updates for reworks, and ordering parts.

 

This is a Second Shift position. This position is eligible for an 8% pay premium for any hours worked on Second Shift.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

  • High‑school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)

Desired Skills

  • Microsoft Excel – creating, formatting, and analyzing inventory reports; use of pivot tables, formulas, and charts
  • Written & Verbal Communication – clear documentation of counts, discrepancy reports, and effective interaction with production‑control, engineering, and stock‑management teams
  • Microscope Operation 
  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy 
  • Clean‑Room & ESD/FOD Awareness – knowledge of gowning procedures, electro‑static discharge controls, and contamination prevention
  • Problem‑Solving & Root‑Cause Analysis – investigate discrepancies, develop corrective actions, and document findings
  • Time Management & Prioritization – perform daily counts
  • Team Collaboration – work effectively with cross‑functional teams (production, engineering, quality, logistics) to resolve inventory issues

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $34800.00 - $64600.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
