THE WORK
As the Chief Engineer Senior Manager, you will lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-performance radar solutions, ensuring technical excellence and affordability for our customers. Your strategic oversight of engineering activities within the MMAD radar sub-market will be pivotal to achieving our long-range business goals and maintaining a competitive technical edge.
Responsibilities include:
• Accountable for all engineering and technology activities within the MMAD radar sub‑market segment
• Primary technical authority for MMAD radar programs, interfacing with internal program management and external customers.
• Proposal leadership ensuring technically sound, affordable solutions and schedules.
• Team leadership of cross‑functional engineers to deliver system/product development.
• Problem solving with cost‑effective, innovative approaches.
• Mission‑success champion driving a culture of excellence.
• Future‑technology roadmap development to support long‑range business plans.
• Risk management and mitigation strategy development.
• Design robustness ensuring safety, performance, producibility, and supportability.
• Compliance with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices.
• Decision making that impacts business outcomes; accountability for lessons learned and corrective actions.
• Technical mentorship and resource allocation for team growth and success.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a strategic technical leader with deep expertise in radar system design and a proven track record of managing complex, cross-disciplinary engineering projects. You possess the communication skills and interpersonal tact necessary to interface effectively with executive leadership and government partners.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant technical experience with radar system design, development, and test.
- Experience leading complex technical projects, including systems, software, and hardware engineering processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience managing cost and schedule for complex projects, including developing and approving cost estimates.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills
- Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) preferred.
- Extensive radar experience.
- Hardware engineering expertise.
- Experience leading technical roadmap development, IRAD strategies, and IRAD execution.
- Capture experience: RFI responses, technical proposal development, and customer meetings.
- Functional management experience.
- Experience managing common product teams.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills at both programmatic and technical levels with direct reports, executive leadership, external customers, and government partners.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $205300.00 - $381300.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
