Standard Job Description
Under supervision of the Team Lead provides civil‑engineering expertise for design, construction, and upkeep of site infrastructure (grading, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, retaining walls, environmental compliance).
Works with the Facilities Engineering team to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
As a Facilities Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Design & Analysis: Create and review civil drawings, calculations, and specs (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS).
- Project Coordination: Liaise with structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and construction teams.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Conduct pavement, utility, and condition assessments; help plan preventive maintenance.
- Construction Support: Inspect sites, monitor contractors, manage submittals, and compile punch list items.
- Permitting & Compliance: Prepare permit packages (NPDES, storm‑water, wetlands) and ensure OSHA, EPA, TxDOT, etc., compliance.
- Cost & Schedule Tracking: Estimate civil scopes, perform quantity take‑offs, monitor budgets, and report variances.
- Documentation: Write technical reports, memos, calculations, and keep document control up to date.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest design standard upgrades and sustainable practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Produce clear presentations for leadership, regulators, and community groups.
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
- Experience: ≥2 years civil‑engineering practice; facilities/industrial background preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.
Desired Skills
- Licensure: EIT or PE (preferred or attainable within 2 years).
- Skills: AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation; basic GIS; MS Office.
- Knowledge of TxDOT, TCEQ, EPA, OSHA standards.
- Construction cost estimating.
- Regulatory Know‑how: Storm‑water (NPDES), BMPs, floodplain, local codes.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal abilities.
- LEED or other sustainability experience.
- Work on DoD/FAA‑regulated sites.
- Expertise in storm‑water BMPs, erosion control, water reclamation.
- Familiarity with FAR/GSA contract administration.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
