Standard Job Description

Performs assignments in technical/engineering organizations (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) during vacations and short-term breaks from college attendance while enrolled in an accredited degree program. 

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern - Quality Engineering.

In this role, you will

· Contribute to the preparation and execution of quality hardware production including documentation, test reports, inspection records, and process flow.

· Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective-action development for non-conformances identified during testing or production.

· Support the execution of product audits and inspections to verify compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive production improvements and deliver results

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of

· Data-analysis tools

· Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to apply them to improve product quality and reliability.

· Problem solving skills to identify solutions to complex problems

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college.

· Basic understanding of technical concepts.

· Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired Skills

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

• Ability to take action and produce solutions for various problems.

· Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, inspection)

· Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 5 Why, Fishbone)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $20.14 - $28.15
