The Work
As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer (CSSE) supporting the Peace Krypton program, you will:
Perform periodic manual and automated STIG evaluations, tracking deltas across versions and platforms.
Conduct cyber risk assessment activities, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and evaluation of mitigation strategies.
Develop, analyze, and validate security AI design constraints within the cyber domain.
Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, system architects, and developers to ensure robust, secure system solutions.
Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and software to verify compliance with requirements.
Apply and ensure consistent use of cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques, and tools.
Prototype and implement software solutions supporting assessment and authorization activities required by customers.
Please note:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.
This position requires the ability to travel up to 10%.

Basic Qualifications
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or another STEM related field with 5+years related experience or related Master's degree with 3 years relevant experience.
- Strong background in cyber security principles, including network security, and threat analysis
- Strong understanding of STIGs and other security controls, including DISA STIGs and NIST guidelines
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls
- Understanding of system integration and systems engineering principles.
- This position requires the ability to travel up to 20% including internationally. Must hold a valid U.S. Passport.
Desired Skills
- Current CISSP Certification
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and incident response tools
- Strong programming and scripting skills, including languages such as C# and PowerShell
- Knowledge of DO-178C - Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including NIST, ISO 27001, and DoD 8570
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
