Standard Job Description
Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or otherelectrical components. Develops designs for the installation of components and assembliesinto chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems using various tools and techniques, such as fault analysis, signal tracing, and debugging.
• Repair or replace faulty components, such as circuit boards, power supplies, or mechanical parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibration, and testing, to prevent future hardware failures
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, or manufacturers to resolve complex hardware issues or to design and implement repairs.
• Develop and implement repair procedures, protocols, and standards to ensure efficient and effective hardware maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of hardware failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, including documentation of faults, repairs, and test results.
Basic Qualifications
| • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree • Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF equipment, and other lab/test equipment • Experience building custom cable assemblies • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches • Prior experience managing labs and lab equipment with complex electronics systems • Track record of hands on experience |

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
