The Work
We seek an experienced Network Team Lead to drive engineering excellence within the C2BMC program. This pivotal role serves as the technical lead responsible for planning, organizing, and executing engineering activities for technical capabilities integrated into the C2BMC Network Enterprise. Working within an agile team, the candidate will coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver mission‑capable systems enabling ballistic missile defense at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
As the Network Team Lead, the individual will provide team leadership while representing the organization as the prime customer contact on significant technical matters. Accountable for the overall technical, cost, and schedule performance of the capability, the role drives the application of Agile processes and frameworks. This position offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge missile defense systems that function as a force multiplier, globally and regionally networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensors and weapons to optimize performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinating planning, organization, and execution of C2BMC Network Enterprise engineering activities
- Leading agile team planning to ensure priority and maturity are achieved
- Managing assigned Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) efforts
- Coordinating and resolving spiral and capability resource de‑confliction across Agile Release Trains
- Maintaining the team’s Hive structure with daily updates
- Contributing to standard metrics packages for program execution status
- Managing risk mitigation, schedule planning, and change requests
- Ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements
- Maintaining clear communication with program and engineering management on status, staffing needs, and projects
Who We Are
As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America’s missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Basic Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with nine or more years of professional experience, or a Master’s/PhD with seven or more years.
- Maintain an active 8140-compliant certification (Security+ or CISSP) and obtain a Project Management certification (Project+, CAPM, or PMP) within 60 days of employment.
- Leadership experience guiding high-performance teams through the design, development, and implementation of large Department of Defense systems and capabilities under development.
- Hands-on experience managing complex network or infrastructure systems, including practical application of Agile methodology and DevOps implementation practices.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale program activities, including documentation, stakeholder meetings, test events, and capability deployments for major systems.
- Experience evaluating project and portfolio information needs, ability to analyze and optimize resource allocation, balance long-term strategic goals with short-term delivery, and effectively manage risk, schedule, and change requests within assigned responsibilities.
- A Secret Clearance is required for consideration. Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills
- Prior C2BMC experience with knowledge of program processes and procedures
- Prior Team Lead and/or Product Owner experience
- Experience developing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and tracking other metrics, creating reports
- Ability to rapidly understand and evaluate new technologies for applicability to mission requirements
- Demonstrated success in coordinating complex technical efforts across multiple Agile Release Trains
- Background in developing and tracking program performance metrics and dashboards
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives and DevOps implementation within defense contexts
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
