Description:
The Communications Representative Senior will spearhead integrated communications and partner with the Employee & Executive Communications team, Program Communications, External Communications, Social Impact and Business Area counterparts to amplify storytelling across the southeast region, specifically for Orlando, Florida; Ocala, Florida; and Troy, Alabama. Will serve as direct communications support and strategic advisor to Production Operations executive leadership, and act as the primary communications advisor to assigned site directors and their leadership teams, proactively developing communications strategies based on site priorities, workforce dynamics and operational needs. The selected candidate will also support the MFC Employee & Executive Communications team with functional internal communications stakeholder groups, and other duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Serves as direct communications support and strategic advisor to Production Operations executive leadership.
- Serves as the primary communications advisor to assigned Site Directors and their leadership teams, proactively developing communications strategies based on site priorities, workforce dynamics and operational needs.
- Develops and executes integrated communications plans for each assigned site aligned with Operations and MFC priorities and coordinated with Program & External Communications, Social Impact and other functions represented at the sites.
- Translates enterprise and business-area priorities into locally relevant employee communications, connecting employees to MFC’s broader mission and priorities, including Munitions Acceleration.
- Supports Site Director executive communications, employee engagements, significant operational milestones, workforce initiatives and organizational change.
- Serves as communications lead for site-level crises and issues, coordinating with Security, ESH, HR, Operations, Program Communications and External Communications.
- Must be based at an assigned location and able to travel regularly throughout the region based on business needs.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field with 3+ years of experience including internal communications or corporate communications; OR bachelor’s or master’s degree in an unrelated field with 8+ years of internal communications or corporate communications experience.
- Strong writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
- Previous strategic communications experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with AP Style.
- Possesses comprehensive understanding of industry practices, demonstrating expertise in integrated marketing communications and related disciplines.
- Develops innovative communications solutions to a range of complex issues, consistent with business objectives.
- Works under general direction and participates in determining assignment objectives. Work is done independently and reviewed at critical points, consistent with communications goals and business objectives.
- Exerts some influence on overall project objectives and long-range goals.
- Engages with senior personnel on significant communications matters.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $90600.00 - $168200.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $81500.00 - $151300.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $72500.00 - $134600.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
