THE WORK
This a hybrid positions out of any major RMS location. We are seeking a Contracts Negotiation Manager to lead a fast-paced team of Contract Negotiators.

The role will offer the following daily challenges:

  • Provide guidance, guide growth and development, and offer expertise to a staff of Contract professionals
  • Oversee a full range of Contract Management activities including identification and management of contractual/performance issues, contract strategies, negotiations, and contract close-out
  • Participate in establishing and administering projects and assignments and maintaining a consistent business reporting rhythm
  • Work all contract types (FFP, FPI, CPAF/IF, OTA, T&M, IDIQ and commercial) and fee arrangements, as well as be versed in both competitive and sole source proposals.
  • Interface with DOD and commercial external customers as well as internal senior leadership.
  • Regularly exercise independent initiative and actions in support of strategic goals on behalf of the mission area and company.

Responsible for supervisory responsibilities and coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. 

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in negotiating, managing, and closing out US Government contracts
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS contracting principles
• Experience in reviewing terms and conditions; and performing contract risk analysis
• Demonstrated experience with briefing Leadership on program status and contractual issues
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD clearance, to support government contracts, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $137100.00 - $254700.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $123400.00 - $229200.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $109700.00 - $203700.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $98700.00 - $183300.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
