Key Duties & Responsibilities

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer (Level 2) to join our team in Courtland, AL! This position will provide technical oversight and direction in support of functional testing of harness manufacturing in a production environment. This position is in support of the latest cutting-edge Aerospace programs to include Manned Space Systems, Hypersonic Missiles, Missile Defense, and NASA programs.

 

This position is to support our second shift on a 4x10 schedule: Tuesday-Friday 1530-0200. However, the position may require periodic or unscheduled overtime and/or nonstandard workweek depending on program schedule requirements and equipment availability.

 

 

Summary of key duties for this position:

• Reviews and evaluates test requirements

• Develops, prepares, and executes comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules supporting production and development programs

• Provides troubleshooting support, identify cause and corrective action to resolve technical production problems and develop re-test instructions when needed

• Identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and increase the repeatability, efficiency, and throughput of test operations

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with or willingness to learn how to write technical documents and execute test procedures

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications

• Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce technical documents, test plans, procedures, and reports

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education

• Familiarity with analog and digital measurement techniques and instrumentation (e.g. RF Test Equipment, DMM, Power Supplies, etc.)

• Active Secret Clearance

• Certified Test Conductor or industry equivalent

• Work experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry

• Familiarity with DITMCO and/or CIRRIS testers

• Experience working with SAP, EPDM, DOORs, CREO, CAMEO, Automation Framework, or industry equivalent(s)

• Experience in an assembly/integration and test environment

• Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast paced environment

• Experience leading small teams

• Demonstrated ability to grow and seek new challenges

• Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
