Standard Job Description
- Design, develop, document, test, and maintain full lifecycle software solutions.
- Complete a range of application development tasks, including application and tool creation, process automation, and enterprise platform integration, to enhance the Sponsor’s analysis, data curation, and data visualization capabilities.
- Create scripts to assist Sponsor target teams with daily, routine work such as converting/translating file formats.
- Apply Data Science principles and database management techniques to enable Sponsor target teams to process, exploit, and store large disparate data sets and integrate analysis with other relevant tools at the Sponsor’s disposal.
- Create custom programs for 2D and 3D environments, including on-screen gaming and virtual reality headset environments in Unity, as well as the ArcGIS suite.
- Interface with application development teams in other parts of the Sponsor’s organization in pursuit of existing tools or code that can enable the successful completion of requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT, GIScience, or related field where computer programming and application is required
- 5 years’ experience developing software systems in the IC
- 1 year or more experience using a variety of programming languages and following industry best practices for code document and knowledge management on software development teams
- 1 year or more experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) development
- Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle software development projects and software issue tracking tools
Desired Skills
- Experience with program performing software development, coordinating IT services, or administering system
- Experience coordinating with disparate software development teams within the IC
- Experience working in multidisciplinary technical teams
- Demonstrated experience with Continuous Software Development and Software Integration best practices
- Experience with designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable machine learning models and AI-driven platforms
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
