Standard Job Description
Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with a talent for computer programming or scripting.
- Experience using laboratory test equipment for hardware debug, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and protocol analyzers.
- Experience debugging electronics.
- Experience developing software using text-based languages, such as Python, C/C++/C#, Visual Basic.
- Experience developing FPGA images using VHDL.
- Experience with Unix and/or Linux environments.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills
- Experience writing and executing test procedures.
- Experience with cable/harness design.
- Broad range of electronic circuit design experience in areas such as analog, digital, microcontroller, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and power supply circuits.
- Experience with communication protocols (i.e. RS-422, RS-485, SPI, I2C, etc.)
- Electronic circuit design experience.
- Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and schematic capture and PWB/PCB layout interface
- Experience in hardware/software integration, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting and repair cable setups, PWB/PCB, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and a variety of electronic equipment.
- Experience programming Xilinx FPGAs with VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience with hardware development life-cycle: requirements, design, development, integration and test, and maintenance.
- Willingness to learn new environments and work independently in a fast-paced development environment.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
