JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

THE WORK
• Provide technical support to engineers by performing moderately complex assignments independently
• Gather, format, compile, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Conduct and record test activities to support engineering evaluations and analysis.
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and preliminary data analysis following established guidelines.
• Interpret data in areas such as trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency, and make sound quantitative judgments.
• Produce high-quality engineering documentation, reports, and drawings including flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
• Use personal computers and software tools to analyze data and generate technical documentation and reports.
• Research technical assignments and processes; analyze results and may develop and present recommendations.
• May lead or provide direction to junior personnel or technicians

Our functional group, the Production Operations Test Team, is composed of 32 professionals with a common purpose to provide the pilots of the United States and our Allies with high quality pilot training devices. We are the connection between each program’s development engineers who integrate new capabilities into subsystems and the remainder of our Production Operations organization who manufacture high quality components in repeatable processes. We have a unique role that gains expertise in both deployable hardware and deployable software.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training equivalent to an Associate degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical or para-engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret and generate technical schematics, diagrams, and reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $57800.00 - $107400.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
