Lockheed Martin seeks an innovative and talented Full Time, Entry Level/Hourly, Engineering Aide (EA) to join the Global Security (GS) Systems  Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization in Denver, Colorado.

In the GS SEIT EA role, you will:

-Provide technical support to systems engineers in a variety of tasks related to system architecture, design, integration, and test.

-Review systems engineering artifacts, assist in resolving issues related to integration and interface details

-Perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation materials, and handle peer reviews and tabletops

-Coordinate and attend daily and weekly team meetings and working groups, supporting Integrated Product Leads, Technical Leads, and/or Team Leads in discussions on technical, schedule, and operational test issues

-Generate engineering documentation, reports, detailed action plans, block diagrams, and schedules

-Develop weekly status chart packages and report to programs/management, review technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following:

-Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning/training, or developing planning and integration skills

-Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management; perform design assessments and developing data driven solutions

 

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Basic Qualifications

-Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience, and/or technical training.  Completed coursework towards a degree may be considered.

-Basic understanding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve

-Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance – U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills

-Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree in a STEM related field, or be enrolled and active in a degree program in a STEM related field

-Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely on a weekly basis to management and customers

-Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment

-Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

-Ability to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers

-Experience with, or knowledge of, Engineering Software and Tools – Cameo, DOORS, CREO, Zuken, MatLab, Python, C/C++

-Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Visio)

-Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and functions

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $54200.00 - $100600.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
