The Work
The Submarine C5I Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) program is seeking a full-time, highly motivated Engineering Aide to provide technical support in an Agile environment. You will join the Bay team to perform hardware & software installations, conduct build check‑outs, & execute root‑cause troubleshooting while supporting Integration & Test (I&T) engineers with system testing and issue documentation. A government security clearance is required.

Who You Are
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate within an Agile environment, emphasizing continuous integration of hardware & software.
• Perform basic hardware and software installation & routine maintenance activities.
• Manage hardware and software configurations, including version control.
• Conduct regular build check‑outs to maintain configuration integrity.
• Execute system testing & evaluation activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware & software issues to isolate the root cause.
• Record test outcomes, failure reports, & any gaps in documentation.
• Follow the team lead’s guidance & work together to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Standard Job Description: Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Basic Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: 
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance. 
• High School diploma or equivalent. 
• 0-1 years of related technical or engineering support experience. 
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.   
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of technical and interpersonal competency.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of the Linux command‑line interface for system navigation, scripting, and basic troubleshooting. 
• Hands‑on experience setting up hardware and cabling based on technical drawings.  
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence products, including experience with agile project planning, issue tracking, and collaboration tools. 
• Experience with asset management or configuration management. 
• Strong organizational skills.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $47100.00 - $87500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
