Standard Job Description

As an Engineering Project Manager (Level 5), you'll be responsible for the end-to-end planning of an F-22 "Super-Mod", a suite of structural, avionics, and propulsion upgrades that will push performance, survivability, and data‑collection capabilities to new heights. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams in navigating tight schedules to deliver transformational aerospace solutions.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling, instrumentation, maintenance, program management, CTF, and SPO leadership to ensure all pre-actions are completed for approval to begin modification
  • Develop a baseline schedule, risk register, and track progress against program milestones to ensure timely planning execution
  • Manage overall cost and schedule performance and facilitate regular meetings, status reports, and issue‑resolution sessions to mitigate risks and delays
  • Provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements, and work closely with functional leaders to secure appropriate staffing, and support intra-program arbitration of E&T resources
  • Identify and manage technical and execution risks and opportunities across the program
  • Manage supplier technical development and engineering integration activities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 9+ years of engineering and/or project management experience on aerospace or defense programs
  • Experience effectively communicating status and challenges to multi-disciplined engineering teams and external customers
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
  • Final SECRET security clearance 

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with USAF modification program requirements to include documentation, TCTOs, kits, tooling, and special test equipment
  • Demonstrated understanding of F-22 developmental test procedures including flight test service orders, engineering assistance requests, and inspection requirements
  • Experience with F-22 engineering and sustainment teams
  • Experience with EVMS and CAM tools & processes
  • Demonstrated accountability and problem solving skills
  • Passion for the F-22 and the warfighter

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
