The Lockheed Martin FBM Program is seeking an experienced and skilled <b>Project Engineer</b> to join our component engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role will require strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and test, to ensure that projects are properly planned and executed.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including technical, schedule, and budget risks.
- Develop and maintain project status reports, including progress, issues, and risks.
- Collaborate with program management to develop and maintain program-level plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Collaborate with other integrated product teams to ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Basic Qualifications
- Project engineering experience
- Experience working throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment)
- Eligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Open Plan
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking
- Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Certification in project management, such as PMI/PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
- Active or Current Secret clearance
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
