This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management. Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office. Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout. Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor. Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.
Basic Qualifications
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- 10+ years of Project management with experience working in the development phase of a program and with the ability to develop and execute to schedules.
- You will need to be a US Citizen, as well as currently possess and maintain an active SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
- Typical candidate will have at least 12 years of related professional Subcontract & Project management experience, as well as experience managing complex subcontracts, with a proven record of successful performance with focus on mission success.
- Proficient in Truth and Negotiations Act (TINA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR) guidelines, and LMAP.
- Technical knowledge of space hardware products, and technical acumen with space programs and/or projects.
- Understanding of and experience negotiating and securing funding for complex long-term agreements.
- Demonstrated skills to drive culture change supporting enterprise initiatives (i.e. hardware commonization and insertion into programs, shift to "we vs. me" behaviors).
- Demonstrated effective use of metrics to drive execution and measure progress.
- Experience working in development phase of a program.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes.
- Proven ability to drive and inspire results/resolution of technical issues and successful outcomes through teamwork.
- Must have experience developing and delivering technical solutions with documented ROI.
- Proven ability to drive and inspire results/resolution of technical issues and successful outcomes through teamwork.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.
- The right candidate will ideally have demonstrated ability to:
- Drive technical supply chain personnel to desired outcomes.
- Proactively team with all levels of the organization and program customers.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with suppliers and IPT members.
- Implement continuous improvement leading to improved team and supplier performance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
