What does this role look like?
The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is experiencing significant growth, and we need your expertise to deliver new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence. This role is responsible for defining; program strategy, coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing schedules, budgets and risk, ultimately, ensuring that deliverables meet performance, cost and schedule objectives in support of advanced mission‑critical systems.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
- As a Program Manager, you will manage subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies
- Direct and manage cost, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor and support the contract milestones of the system
- Identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
- Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program execution and risk management
- Act as the main Program Management focal point to the subcontractor, program management office and Customer
- Make informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor and establish milestone objectives to manage schedule commitments and contractual specifications
- Lead a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher equivalent experience / education
- 3+ years of Subcontract Program Management, Program Management, Project Engineering, or Project Management Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing procurements, including identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services
- Familiarity with defense acquisition and proposal processes
- Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions and disciplines such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
- Team leadership or team building experience
- Proven ability to lead in a remote/hybrid environment, including experience managing virtual teams, facilitating remote meetings, and using remote collaboration tools
- You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoW SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired Skills
- Experience on the FBM program, or with the Navy SSP Customer
- Proposal support and/or management experience
- Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, and capitalizing on program opportunities
- Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budgets, and the ability to use IMS and budget data to track program performance, identify trends, and make corrective actions when necessary
- Proficiency with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR) guidelines and Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
- Development and production program experience
- Experience managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers
- Experience managing multiple contract types
- Well organized, excellent communicator
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
