WHO YOU ARE
In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical building systems that support Lockheed Martin’s mission, directly contributing to a safe and productive work environment for our teams. You are a proactive facilities engineer who expertly monitors and maintains mechanical and building systems, leverages the Siemens Desigo BAS to ensure safe, reliable, and energy‑efficient operations, and collaborates with contractors and occupants to resolve issues swiftly. The Building Engineer is responsible for monitoring, operating, inspecting, and maintaining the facility’s mechanical and building systems. This position uses the Siemens Desigo Building Automation System (BAS) to monitor HVAC equipment, temperatures, airflow, system performance, and alarms. The Building Engineer helps ensure safe, reliable, energy-efficient operations and a comfortable environment for building occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor HVAC systems through the Siemens Desigo Building Automation System.Review system alarms, temperature trends, schedules, and equipment operating conditions.Adjust heating, cooling, airflow, and temperature settings as authorized.Inspect air-handling units, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, pumps, exhaust systems, and related equipment.Troubleshoot HVAC and building-control issues and coordinate repairs when needed.Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment.Respond to occupant concerns involving temperature, airflow, indoor comfort, and facility conditions.Identify abnormal equipment operation and escalate critical system issues promptly.Create and update service tickets, maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.Coordinate with facilities personnel, contractors, vendors, and controls technicians.Support energy-efficiency initiatives by reviewing equipment schedules and system performance.Verify that maintenance and repair work complies with safety requirements, building standards, and manufacturer recommendations.Assist with other facility systems and general building-maintenance responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience operating or monitoring HVAC and building mechanical systems.
- Experience with Siemens Desigo or a comparable Building Automation System.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls, temperature sensors, alarms, air-handling equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret equipment data, system trends, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.
- Relevant HVAC, electrical, controls, or building-maintenance training or certifications are preferred
Desired Skills
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams and outside contractors.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
