Standard Job Description
This position is the Manager for Missiles and Fire Control Financial Accounting & Reporting team at Lockheed Martin (LM). The role supports the Sr. Manager and other leaders while guiding a team in both task-based and goal-based objectives related to the Business Area and Business Unit financial reporting. The manager is responsible for leading a team comprised of members with varying degrees of experience, responsibility, and independence. The team is responsible for accounting functions including compilation of financial information, journal entry processing and approval, reconciliations, revenue recognition determinations for contracts, and audit support.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate full spectrum leadership attributes, champion development within the team, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement. The position is responsible for presenting cross-functionally to multiple levels of leadership, representing the organization, and preparing the staff for presentations. They are also responsible for reviewing work from other accounting teams, coaching & developing employees, delegate appropriately, and ensures resources are available to meet deadlines.
What You Will Be Doing
The position is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Leading the team through month-end close
• Managing monthly accounting processes, including continued improvement from 2026 1LMX ERP conversion, with a focus on internal controls
• Review of completed staff work
• Support and prepare for the 1LMX LM Financials implementation
• Connect with other LM finance teams supporting MFC accounting activities
• Coach, train, and feedback to the team and support a culture of continuous feedback
• Lead and execute special projects for the organization, as required.

This position is in Dallas, TX or Orlando, FL.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires selected candidate to possess ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting experience
• Knowledge of SAP, accounting processes, and supporting multiple company codes
• Demonstrated ability to perform reviews of staff work and provide constructive feedback
• Demonstrated experience with the application of US GAAP
Desired Skills
• Master’s degree; CPA or CPA candidate
• 15+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Leadership experience at LM
• Experience with the 1LMX program
• Experience with SAP and ERP conversions in A&D industry
• Experience supporting large M&A transactions
• Experience in or coordinating with the FP&A function
• Demonstrated experience with Revenue from Contracts (ASC606) at an A&D company
• Demonstrated experience with Financial Statement, Orders, Sales reporting at LM
• Demonstrated experience working with external auditors
• FLDP and/or ALDP graduate
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109700.00 - $203700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
