Standard Job Description
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control LM-MFC), Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services (SOF-GLSS1/2), located in Northwest Florida, is seeking a motivated and driven Senior Quality Engineer. This position will primarily support SOFGLSS Fixed Wing Development programs and Sustainment Task Orders both CONUS and OCONUS. In this role the selected candidate will apply quality engineering principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs. Lead Point of Contact for all communication and sell back of Simple, Moderate and Complex Air Force Special Operations weapon system modification efforts directly to USG customer technical representative worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or Higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or STEM related field.
- Five (5) years of demonstrated Quality Engineering Practitioner experience performing/leading inspections and audits.
- Three (3) years of demonstrated Quality Engineering Practitioner experience validating compliance standards for AFSOC weapon system platforms.
- C130/CV22/MQ9 series aircraft structures/mechanical/avionics maintenance experience a must. (Other relevant Fixed Wing experience can be considered).
- Eight (8) years military and or civilian aircraft mechanical/avionics experience.
- Read / interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, maintenance instructions and use test measurement and calibrated tools.
- Possess excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with company management and customers regarding quality issues.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum.
- Ability to work second, third and weekend shifts as required.
- Must be willing to travel at least 75% of the time (domestic and international
Desired Skills
- Fabrication / Manufacturing / Aircraft Modification Kit Installation experience a plus.
- Task Order Proposal and Basis of Estimate experience highly desired
- Experience interacting with DCMA, USG Engineering and AF Active Duty customers
- AS9100 Internal Auditor trained
- Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Experience using SharePoint and / or SAP platform
- Skilled in Virtual Basic Applications for Microsoft Excel
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
