What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and components, establishing structural specifications, performing structural dynamics analysis, and conducting tests.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop aircraft, missiles, and related parts.
  • Establish structural specifications and ensure compliance with flight physics.
  • Perform structural dynamics analysis.
  • Conduct and evaluate test programs.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering

  • Experience with vibroacoustic and data processing
  • Proficient in scripting language (MatLab, Python, VBA, C++, etc.)
  • Experience working on a team as a technical subject matter expert or near expert.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with running and interpreting ADAMS multibody dynamics models
  • Experience with running and interpreting ABAQUS-equivalents to Modal Analysis (SOL103), Random Vibration (SOL111), Transient Analysis (SOL112), Non-linear analysis (SOL106/400)
  • Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment
  • Experience making/updating Finite Element Models (FEM) in ABAQUS/CAE (useful to know Patran, Hypermesh, FEMAP, or similar
  • Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
