Standard Job Description
Establish the vision and provide the strategic direction for the Skunk Works Technology Roadmaps Autonomy Directorate, ensuring seamless integration of airborne autonomy capabilities across Aeronautics and the broader Lockheed Martin enterprise. Lead the development and maturation of autonomy technologies, including—but not limited to—open system architectures, mission application marketplace, vehicle autonomy solutions, AI driven mission autonomy software, demonstrations, and interoperability solutions. Maintain oversight of related technology roadmaps, such as Core Processing, Electronic Warfare, and Sensor Technologies. Coordinate, interface, and nurture key domestic and international customer relationships to shape technology requirements that anticipate future research and program needs. Direct focused CRAD captures and execution across the customer base to support and strengthen Lockheed Martin programs. Oversee execution of Autonomy IRAD projects. Establish a strategy and oversight plan for LM Labs and supporting infrastructure to enable autonomy integration and testing, collaborating with other business area leaders to deliver “One LM” autonomy solutions. Routinely interface with the Corporate Technology Office (CTO) to align mission roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and capability development, facilitating transition to Aeronautics and other Lockheed Martin programs. Oversee roadmap development for both domestic and international solutions, formulating strategic direction for the Autonomy Directorate, including organic and inorganic (M&A, LM Venture) resourcing plans and strategic partnerships with industry to bring autonomy solutions to market and create value for Lockheed Martin.
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 15+ years of experience
- Demonstrated Program Management experience in both Strategy and Execution
- Strong leadership experience and proven track record of developing teams
- Top Secret with an investigation within 5 years
- Demonstrated excellent Customer Relations

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $180000.00 - $325000.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
