Standard Job Description
As a Project Engineer in F-22 Sustainment, you'll lead critical Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) initiatives that safeguard the F-22 supply chain, protect mission readiness, and enable continued excellence in sustainment. Your work will drive innovative solutions to keep a world-class fighter flying at peak performance well into the future.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk registers for each DMS effort and track execution against program milestones
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to drive source-reduction, part qualification, and alternate sourcing
- Lead coordination with legacy vendors, evaluate new sources, and manage contractual discussions to secure quality and price stability
- Conduct feasibility studies, performance testing, and certification of alternate parts or manufacturing processes
- Track project budgets, forecast cost avoidance, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
- Present concise briefings and risk updates to senior leadership, program managers, and external customers

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, or a related STEM field
- 6+ years of engineering and/or project management experience on aerospace or defense programs
- Experience effectively communicating status and challenges to multi-disciplined engineering teams and external customers
- Willing to travel up to 10%
- Final SECRET Clearance
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with USAF modification program requirements to include documentation, TCTOs, kits, tooling, and special test equipment
- Experience with F-22 sustainment teams and processes to include engineering assistance requests and inspection requirements
- Working knowledge of systems engineering processes, avionics, vehicle systems, and their operation
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), Control Account Manager (CAM) tools and processes, and Risk & Opportunity Management
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and problem solving skills
- Passion for the F-22 and the warfighter
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
