Standard Job Description
Perform modeling, simulation & analysis in support of the F-35 Sustainment program and will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop immersive stories that answer business questions. Using proven and sound statistical methods, the data scientist draws insights from data, and translates those insights into action that drive business results. The selected candidate should have the ability to perform analysis via multi-criteria decision modeling including statistical & risk analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, performance & cost trade-offs, and business case analysis. They should have a foundational understanding of a broad set of tools to be able to apply the right tool to each data exploration activity. The selected candidate will be responsible to:
- Utilize modeling & simulation technical principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to conduct supportability and performance based logistics metrics assessments using commercial, government, and LM developed tools.
- Work under the guidance of a technical lead to implement improved Sustainment modeling & analysis capabilities in several areas.
- Analyze F-35 fielded performance developing solutions to assigned problems for the purpose of forecasting, root cause analysis, evaluation of potential solutions, and assessment of corrective actions.
- Experience with the construction and execution of data models and discrete event simulators.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, data cleaning and management.
- Experience with converting data artifacts into visualizations utilizing Tableau.
- Comfortable working in "big data" environments (downloading, uploading, aggregating, etc).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc), Physics, Data Science, Data Analysis, Physics, or Mathematics (use of stochastic and deterministic data models) or related technical disciplines with an emphasis in modeling, data manipulation, and/or the application of mathematical and statistical methods to business problems..
-Experience in descriptive and predictive modeling, prescriptive modeling, and/or optimization.
- AI/Machine learning
- Programming experience with Python or other high-level language.
- Experience with distributed databases and with large datasets
- Strong data visualization skills and proficiency with statistical analysis

- Experience deconstructing complex operations into component data problems for distributed work across teams.
- Experienced in data structures and hierarchies
- Experience collecting and compiling datasets from disparate data sources into the required data structure.
- Proficiency with MS Office tool suite.
- Experience managing data quality and configuration control.
- Experience analyzing supply chain networks.
- Analytical skills and understanding of system databases, data elements and application software solutions to optimize data gathering and analysis.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
