Standard Job Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf for the Design Process Integration (DPI) Team which is responsible for shaping engineering design policies, procedures, and data management across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf you will be responsible for leading the DPI team’s efforts in process integration, PLM tool configuration, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful project outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate DPI team activities to meet project goals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage Project Saber implementation and partner with the Digital Transformation team on PLM tool configuration.
  • Develop, document, and maintain engineering functional processes and command media.
  • Resolve process problems and drive continuous improvement for the engineering design community.
  • Report status, manage risks and opportunities, and collaborate with other project engineers.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in one or more aircraft/air vehicle engineering development project or software development project in an aerospace environment. 

- Experience with release and change management systems or drawing/document systems used at Lockheed Aeronautics by AMMM, IFG, ADP, or F-35 business areas such as Dassault 3DX (Enovia), Siemens TeamCenter PLM, Lockheed Aeronautics systems PDM, AeroSource, ADMS, or CAD DataNet, or legacy systems.  Experience with similar systems or related PLM, drawing, model, Bill of Material and note information at any other employer would be acceptable.

- Strong customer service and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

- Project Management experience, including reporting and presentation experience are required.

- Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and appropriate relevant experience.

Desired Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences and an appropriate amount of relevant experience for a senior staff position.

Experience in any one or more of the following is desired:

- Aircraft or aircraft-related system design experience

- Design support or design verification experience

- CAD system use or system management - Siemens NX and/or TeamCenter (or as part of the Siemens Xcelerator suite) preferred

- Project management experience in an engineering environment

- Experience using SAP, ALIS, or other Supply Chain, Sustainment, Production Operations or Business Systems used by LM Aero

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
