You will be a Project Engineer for the Customer Programs team in the F-35 Line of Business Engineering (LOBe) team within Engineering & Technology (E&T).

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a thorough and detailed understanding of the technical scope, cost, and schedule, collaborating with the Program Management (PM) office, and driving the Domain Excellence (Dex) team performance.

Our team is assigned responsibility, authority, and accountability for execution of the Engineering and Technology (E&T) activity across the entire LOB to accomplish Program cost, schedule, and performance.

As the F-35 Customer Programs Project  Engineering lead your responsibilities will include:

• Performing EV analysis at the contract level and understand impacts to overall engineering for Customer Program contracts 

 • Understanding and communicating how the technical scope of the contract aligns with the overall program objectives, strategy and managing engineering scope. 

• Discuss proposal initiatives associated with implementing engineering changes that impact the F-35 Air Vehicle with additional collaboration with the Production Readiness, Test Readiness and Mods Readiness teams. 

 • Effectively communicating technical issues to various levels of management while coordinating resolution in parallel through development of closure plans

 • Identifying cross-contract gaps and providing recommendation of resolution

 • Identifying risks and opportunities and drive the closure plans through technical leadership.

• Support shaping of proposals – particularly technical requirements – to best position LM Aero to win new F-35 contracts. Interface with Program Management, Finance & Business Ops, and other functions to support proposal development and negotiation.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

This position can be located in Fort Worth, TX or Marietta, GA or Palmdale, CA

 

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or alternate STEM major with technical experience 
 
• Project Engineering/technical experience

• EVMS and / or CAM experience. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills

• F-35 Program Experience 

• Experience developing project plans, basis-of-estimates, and integrated master schedules. 

• Experience working with PDM and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel). 

• Experience with contract modifications proposals 

• Experience leading a team and a large project.

• Demonstrated organizational skills with specific experience managing conflicting priorities.

• Demonstrated analytical skills, solving complex technical problems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
