Standard Job Description
Performs tech planning, design, devel, integ, v&v for total syst life cycle. Analyses performed at all levels of syst product incl. concept, design, fabrication, test, instl, operation, maintenance & disposal, incorp design methods & stds for Cyber Security, SW & HW infrastructure. Designs, devels, docs, tests & debugs SW that contains logical & math solutions to business/mission problems/questions in computer language. Ensures the logical & syst conversion of customer/product reqs into total syst solutions that ack tech, sched, cost constraints & align to SW & HW deployment pipelines & factories. Performs func & timeline analysis, detail trade & reqs allocation & interface defs studies to translate customer reqs into HW & SW feature defs & acceptance criteria. Applies stds, processes, procedures & tools throughout the devel life cycle. Applies HW & SW knowledge, cyber security stds in business/mission apps, & feedback from users to develop SW. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles doc of program devel & analyzes syst capabilities to resolve program problems, output/input data acq, programming tech & controls. Ensures SW stds are met. Validates incorp of features & use cases into implemented designs.

- Develop and improve DevSecOps capabilities supporting secure, reliable software delivery for mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate across software, systems, infrastructure, hardware, and security teams to integrate solutions into complex program environments.
- Help lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement while taking ownership of complex issues and supporting other engineers.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to solve problems, improve processes, and deliver scalable solutions that support current and future programs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on DevOps
- Experience building, maintaining, and automating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Linux-based development environments

Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
Desired Skills
- Experience in non-traditional DevOps environments, such as lab systems, embedded systems, or hardware-integrated platforms
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar tools
- Experience with package management tools like Conan for multi-platform software projects
- Basic proficiency with monitoring and observability tools, such as Grafana, to improve visibility and reliability

Experience with Agile software development tools and practices, including Git, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD platforms

Understanding of build systems and compilers such as CMake, Make, and Gradle and their role in automated software delivery

Experience with software and system integration, testing, and validation practices

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, systems, infrastructure, and security engineering
- Current Security+ certification or willingness to obtain
- Active Secret security clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
