You will be the Software Engineer Sr for the Simulation & Systems Labs (SSL) which is responsible for delivering advanced simulation and integration solutions that empower warfighters worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Engineer Sr you will be responsible for integration and troubleshooting of SSS software products in hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop lab environments, while contributing to the design, development, and deployment of real‑time simulation systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Integrate and troubleshoot SSS software in HIL and MIL lab environments.
- Develop and maintain distributed real‑time simulation code for aircraft and hardware interfaces.
- Apply technical principles to reuse existing software and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate within an Agile, DevSecOps team to deliver high‑quality, mission‑critical capabilities.
- Support flight‑testing activities and ensure solutions meet customer requirements.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
- Software Development Experience using C++
- Experience developing software on Linux
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/Technical Field (STEM)
Desired Skills
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket
- Experience with real-time software development & integration
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience performing software integration in hardware-in-the-loop and/or man-in-the-loop simulation environments
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, such as Jira
- An extreme interest in anything airborne, such as fighter aircraft and airplanes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Active F-35 program access
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
