What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Stf - E5 you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and testing a variety of aircraft mechanisms, ensuring optimal load paths and material efficiency.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospce Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics (Not Mechanical Engineering Technology or other Technology degrees)

Experience with stress analysis of mechanized aircraft structures, such as in-flight opening doors, bell cranks, control surfaces, canopies, and landing gear

Experience using classical stress analysis methods, both hand anlysis and automated algorythms based on engineering fundamentals

Experience in developing, running, and working with Finite Element Models

Experience in a collaborative work environment and across engineering disciplines

Desired Skills

Experience with developing and analyzing landing gear, including understanding of Gas Laws and Load-Stroke Curves

Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS, and Hypermesh

Good interpersonal skills to lead and work with teammates in a collaborative environment

Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excel spreadsheet mathematical calculations and VBA highly desired

Familiarity with CATIA, 3DX

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
