Join the System Architecture team that supports the F-22 IMIS (Integrated Maintenance Information System) team to enable the operational readiness and sustainment of the F-22 Raptor. IMIS provides mission-critical hardware and software solutions that interface directly with aircraft maintenance systems, automating maintenance processes, improving diagnostic capabilities, reducing maintenance cycle times, and increasing aircraft availability.

As a System Architect, you will serve as the technical authority for development activities across the IMIS portfolio. You will provide strategic technical leadership, drive architecture decisions,, interface with F-22 program office, partner with the F-22 Chief Engineer, mentor engineering teams, and ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions supporting one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft platforms.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing and overseeing system architectures, including systems design activities.
  • Serving as the focal point for development and communication of the system architecture.
  • Ensuring conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that consider design and technology maturity constraints.
  • Developing system, software, and subsystem architecture, design, and interface definitions.
  • Supporting internal and external design reviews.
  • Host workshops, Technical Interface Meetings, User interviews, and working groups
  • Drive F-22 IMIS MBSE maturation
  • Drive Design Quality maturation

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.

• Experience with MBSE and systems architecture best practices

• Experience as a systems architect or software on an aeronautical program

• Knowledge of software architecture principles, patterns, styles, and practices, including layered, service-oriented, microservices, event-driven, modular, distributed, and component-based architectures.

• Experience designing maintenance or logistical systems

• Experience with software development programs

• Experience leading system engineering activities

Desired Skills

• Ability to translate system-level requirements and operational concepts into software architectures, including decomposition of capabilities into applications, services, components, interfaces, and data flows.

• Experience leading technical interchange meetings, trade studies, and proposal activities

• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) development

• Experience ALIS/ODIN or IMIS

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $185400.00 - $344400.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $166900.00 - $309900.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $148300.00 - $275500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $133500.00 - $247900.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
